Murrumbidgee Jones is a Sydney cultural heretic and ratbag who dabbles in music, art and the written word. For leisure activities he sponges inspiration from road trips and wider travel where he upturns rocks and searches under trees for inspiration and the necessary fuel to keep his imagination working at a manageable level. The rewards of such endeavours can be found in his resulting songs and paintings, most of which feature both the openness of the landscape and the transience of its inhabitants. As a hobby he photographs discarded clothes as street detritus. Images of dead birds and animals also hold his interest. He is colour blind, mildly arthritic and sometimes argumentative. He drinks Reschs beer, hates musical over-production, overblown arrangements and ego-driven histrionic instrumental solos. He is a strong believer that a sense of humour permeates all great art. No exceptions. Even Mona Lisa likes to laugh...
.....In this, his digital museum, he aims to blow away the dead flies and dust from history. To delve into obscurity. To find forgotten objects. To share dreams and thoughts. To act as an anti-depressant. To be an elixir to all things dull. To avoid mediocrity and sycophantic cultural bootlicking. To brag about the unusual.
